Privacy Policy

Jowa Holdings Company, Limited, (the “Company”) has adopted the Privacy Policy set forth below and promotes universal awareness of it among all Jowa Group personnel.

Legal compliance

The Company and other Jowa Group companies believe that properly protecting personal information is an important social responsibility. In conducting their respective business operations, they endeavor to properly protect personal information in compliance with this Privacy Policy and their respective internal regulations in addition to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws (collectively referred to below as “Applicable Laws”).

Fair collection of personal information

The Company and other Jowa Group companies collect personal information by fair and legal means to the extent required to conduct their respective business operations.

Uses of personal information

The Company and other Jowa Group companies utilize personal information for the purposes set forth below. They do not utilize personal information beyond the extent required to accomplish said purposes unless they have obtained prior consent, or are legally permitted, to do so.

1. Real estate development, subdivision, or sales; real estate sales agency or brokerage; real estate leasing, property management, property trusteeship, real estate appraisal, sales of real estate trust beneficial interests, real estate investment advisory services, real estate consulting, and other services incidental to any of the foregoing
2. Moneylending, factoring, and other such financial services
3. Golf course management and operation
4. Management and operation of hotels, inns, and food and beverage establishments
5. Sales activities related to the businesses are enumerated above, including communications by mail, e-mail, telephone, or other means, solicitations, information sharing, and visitations.
6. Credit-granting decisions, or contract execution, performance, maintenance management, preservation, or exercise of legal or contractual rights or performance of legal or contractual obligations, related to the businesses enumerated above
7. Analysis of customer trends or research or analysis of product development, development of sales techniques, etc.
8. Employee recruitment and hiring and notifications related thereto

Provision of personal information to third parties

The Company and other Jowa Group companies do not provide personal information to third parties unless they have obtained prior consent, or are legally permitted, to do so. However, to the extent required to accomplish the purposes enumerated above, they may provide personal information to third parties without consent if they outsource handling of personal information, are involved in a merger or joint venture, or jointly utilize personal information together with a designated party.

Personal information security measures

The Company and other Jowa Group companies endeavor to store and manage personal data in an accurate and up-to-date state. They also implement reasonable security measures to prevent personal-information leaks and appropriately supervise employees and contractors that handle personal information.

Continuous improvement

The Company and other Jowa Group companies endeavor to continuously improve their handling of personal information and shall revise this Privacy Policy as necessary.

Processing of disclosure and other requests

The Company and other Jowa Group companies endeavor to expeditiously and appropriately respond to requests for notification of uses of personal information, disclosure of retained personal information's content, correction of errors and falsities, discontinuation of personal information's utilization, deletion of personal information, and discontinuation of personal information's provision to a third-party.
